NATURAL WOOD VENEER AFRICA MAKORE QUARTER
Origin: Central and West Africa (from Sierra Leone to Gabon).
Macquarie's heartwood is pink or reddish brown, sometimes with some light stripes. The yellow white edge is two to three inches wide, which is clearly distinguished from the heartwood. There are usually shadows (such as blocky shadows and moire shadows).
Macquarie can sometimes replace African peach blossom core (Melia azedarach, Ka Ya) and sell it under the commercial name Cherry Mahogany, although it does not belong to any kind of peach blossom core (Meliaceae).
